Our company
What Glan Exteriors is
We clean the outside of buildings. Roofs and moss removal, gutters and rooflines, render and painted walls, driveways, patios and decking, conservatory roofs and solar panels — for homes, and for commercial premises at the scale of units, forecourts, schools and managed developments.
What we are not is a general maintenance company that also does cleaning, and we are not a rope-access or high-rise contractor. Ground-level and tower-accessible work, done with the right method for the surface. Being specific about that boundary is more useful to you than a longer list would be — where the commercial line sits.
The name is the plainest description we could find: glan is the Irish for clean.

A photo of the roof, the driveway or the elevation tells us more than a description does — surface, access, and how far the growth has gone. Most quotes start here.

We quote the job
A price for defined work, with the method named. If a photo cannot settle it — an awkward roof, a commercial site, anything needing a tower — we come and look first.

We agree a date
Exterior work depends on the weather and we would rather move a date than rush a job in the wrong conditions. You will know the day, not just the week.

The work is done
Ground-level access wherever the job allows it, surfaces protected, and planting rinsed down before and after where a treatment is being used near it.

You see the difference
Before and after photographs of the same view, taken from the same spot. On gutter work that includes footage from inside the run, which is the only way to actually see it.
Where we work
Across Dublin, Galway and Cork
Exterior cleaning is a travelling trade — the equipment comes to the property rather than the other way round.
Most of our work is in Dublin, and we take on jobs in Galway and Cork as well. The practical question on any enquiry is not which county you are in but whether the job is worth the journey, and that is a quicker conversation to have on the phone than to guess at from a coverage map.

How the work gets done
No awards and no badges. What we can describe is the method, and you can check whether it happened.
The right pressure, not the most pressure
A pressure washer will take moss off a roof and take the surface of the tile with it. Most of what we do is soft washing — low pressure and a treatment that kills the growth — because the surface has to still be there afterwards.
Ground level wherever the job allows
Vacuum poles reach a normal two-storey roofline from the ground, so most gutter and roofline work happens without anyone on a ladder. Where height genuinely needs it, that is a tower, and it is priced in rather than improvised.
You see inside the gutter
A cleared gutter looks identical to a blocked one from the ground. Camera footage before and after is the difference between being told the work was done and seeing that it was.
The growth is treated, not just removed
Moss and algae scraped off a surface are back within a season, because what makes them grow is still there. A biocide treatment is what turns a clean into something that lasts.
The planting gets thought about
Beds and lawns beside a treated wall get soaked down before and after, and runoff goes to a gully rather than a border. It costs ten minutes and it is the thing people notice a week later.
One point of contact
The person who quotes the job is the person you deal with through it. Nothing gets passed to a scheduling desk that has not seen your roof.
